The Hidden Texts: Guided Tour of the Archive and Library
Naumburg Cathedral looks back over nearly 1,000 years of fascinating history. Testimony to this history is provided by the more than 30,000 precious manuscripts and 2,500 deeds in the archive and library. The medieval historian and head of the cathedral chapter archive Matthias Ludwig opens up the artfully refurbished library rooms in the west cloister and reveals the extraordinary stories behind the documents.
The special guided tour of the archive and library takes place every first Saturday of the month from April to October. We recommend that you register priorly via our visitor centre.
