"Far Shaping - The Exterior Shape of Naumburg Cathedral Ensemble" Special Guided Tours on the Day of the Open Monument

September 10, 2023 is Open Monument Day throughout Germany. This year's motto is: "Talent Monument". For the 30th anniversary of the action day, monuments and their uniqueness will be in the spotlight. What makes a monument and which unknown monuments deserve more attention?

On this occasion, the ensemble around Naumburg Cathedral, St. Mary's Church and Epiphany Chapel will be viewed in free guided tours from the Cathedral Square. The four cathedral towers in particular make them a landmark that stands out in the landscape for miles around - a point of attraction for many guests. In addition to the developments in building history, the elements of the exterior design are discussed. The many details of the façade structure also allow the trained eye to draw conclusions about the interior of the church.

The free tours will take place at 1:30 p.m., 3:30 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. on September 10, 2023.
