A total of 119,701 people visited the UNESCO World Heritage Site Naumburg Cathedral in 2022. "We are on a very good path in terms of the development of visitor numbers," said the director of the United Cathedral Foundations, Dr. Holger Kunde, looking back on the past year. "The Marienretabel, which stood in the west choir for just under five months, generated very great interest. But the 9 Euro ticket also brought us many visitors from central Germany," Dr. Kunde continued. "We are constantly working in the visitor service department to make the service for the guest on site first-class, and in the marketing and public relations department new visitors are being addressed with exciting campaigns."
