Heavenly shimmering: Walls made of glass in Naumburg Cathedral

Since the beginning of 2020, our visitors can admire the radiant beauty of the West Choir. It owes its heavenly splendour to a team of glass restorers, who, since 2017, have been working on an extensive project to restore the windows of Naumburg Cathedral. Now, the glass workshop has moved on from the West to the East Choir, whose windows are to be restored to an equally magnificent state by the end of 2020. Immerse yourself in the fascinating work of the glass workshop. In an exclusive guided tour, the restorers will show you how the delicate material can be processed and what challenges and new discoveries this unique restoration project offers.

Due to the current regulations for the containment of the Corona pandemic, there is unfortunately only a limited number of visitors who are allowed to take part in the tour. In order to be able to trace chains of infection, we ask you to contact us in writing if you want to take part in the guided tour, providing the necessary data (name, first name, address, telephone number).
