Holiday activities of the KinderDomBauhütte during the Whitsun holidays

Step into Uta’s world. During the holidays, we introduce children to our world heritage site and the fascinating world of a construction workshop in the 13th century. At first, we always explore the cathedral together, discovering works of art from almost 1000 years of history. Then the children get a chance to slip into the role of a glazier, stone mason or craftsmen and give free rein to their creativity.

Holiday activities during the Whitsun holidays

Heavenly light
Production of a colourful iridescent glass pendant
Cost: € 8.00 per person
The pupils take a look at the brightly coloured windows of Naumburg Cathedral and then head to the glass workshop. There they cut, break and polish shimmering glass to create their own pendant.

Aim high! Discover the towers of the Cathedral
Climbing the north-west tower of Naumburg Cathedral with tricky tasks
Cost: €6.00 per person | suitable for children aged 8 and over
Over 200 steps have to be climbed to reach the top of the north-west tower of the cathedral. But that's not all! Before the fantastic view makes up for any effort, the towers have to be measured and small tasks solved. At the end of the project, the brave "high-altitude hikers" are awarded a tower diploma.

Each child receives a pass, which is stamped at each visit. For six stamps there is a little surprise.

Our places at the vacation activities are primarily reserved for vacation children. Accompanying persons (max. 1 per child) receive a discounted admission to Naumburg Cathedral incl. participation in a public cathedral tour. They pay only 9,00 € instead of 12,50 €.

After school groups can also book our holiday activities separately.
