Elaborately decorated tombstones from the nearly 1000-year history of Naumburg Cathedral can still be seen throughout the cathedral today. Who were the people buried in the cathedral? How have the rituals changed over the centuries? And what is behind the ornate decorations on the tomb slabs? In a special guided tour you can learn about these rarely thematized works of art in the cathedral's history. You will then learn more about Christian burial culture and superstition during a visit to the cathedral cemetery.
