Bach Cantata Service "In the End the Beginning"

The Naumburg Cathedral Choir invites you to the Bach cantata service "In the end the beginning". Under the direction of Cathedral Cantor Jan-Martin Drafehn, vocal soloists, the Naumburg Cathedral Choir and the baroque orchestra Musici d'Numburg will perform. The cantata BWV 166 "Wo gehest du hin" by Johann Sebastian Bach will be performed. The sermon will be given by Prof. Dr. Jörg Ulrich (Halle/Saale).

The event takes place as part of the series "Prominence in conversation". The Naumburg Protestant Parish and the Naumburg Cathedral Choir have been organizing this series of services for several years. Prominent figures from different eras are to enter into a dialogue rich in contrasts with one another. What is meant by this are selected church music works and in each case a prominent person of the present - known from the media and the public.
